Workshops at EDRC 2025

The congress will offer parallel workshops on Thursday, September 25th in the following timeslots:
 
  • 10:00 – 11:45 AM
  • 12:00 – 13:45 PM
  • 15:00 – 16:45 PM
 
The workshops will take place ahead of the opening session at 18:00 PM.
 
More information will follow up in the coming weeks.

We are offering 6 workshops (WS) slots on Thursday (September 25) morning (3 parallel workshops at 11:00-13:15 PM) and afternoon (3 at 3:00–5:15 PM) ahead of the opening session (6 PM).

If you would like to propose a workshop, please send a one-page proposal to edrc2025alicante@umh.es by May 5, 2025.

The workshop should cover an exciting, long-standing, or emerging topic (technological or scientific) not addressed in the main sessions. By late May 2025, the EDRC Organizing Committee will select six workshops and an additional backup.

  • Each workshop can include up to nine speakers, with 12 minutes for presentations and 3 minutes for questions.
  • Alternatively, you may opt for eight talks and include a 15-minute break or merge slots to provide 30-minute presentations.
  • Please keep a format that allows for a unit of 15 minutes (nX15 min) to facilitate attendee movement between workshops without interrupting ongoing talks.

You can choose the types of speakers (Keynote, PIs, postdocs, invited speakers, selected speakers, or a mix). However, please be aware that we will not cover any expenses for workshop speakers.

  • In your proposal, describe:

    1. Topic: What exciting, emerging, or long-standing topic does your workshop address?
    2. Philosophy: Why is this important to the scientific community?
    3. Format: Proposed setup and schedule (number of speakers, breaks).

      Important: Workshops must follow a 15-minute unit structure (nX15 min) to facilitate attendee movement without interrupting talks.

     

  • Three large rooms are available for workshops.
  • The final program, including speakers' names, will be published on the EDRC 2025 website before the event and included in the conference program.
